About the Event
East Hawaiʻi Tropical Fruit Growers, come together for the love of fruit.
The East Hawaiʻi Chapter of HTFG is reuniting. If you are a past member, current member, or interested in becoming a future member of HTFG, please come and join us. There are 25 free virtual tickets available as well!
We will be meeting at Hilo Food Hub, a commercial kitchen for rent operated by Hoʻola Farms. There will be a tour of the kitchen, an overview of cottage food laws vs commercial regulations, an overview of Dept of Health permitting for value-added products, the Hawaiʻi Farm-to-Car online market, and an exotic fruit tasting!
* Fruit=Tasting is free to HTFG members, and $25 for non-members
However, the main focus of the meeting will be reuniting the East Hawaiʻi Chapter of HTFG, which has not had regular meetings in several years. After the kitchen tour and fruit-tasting, we will discuss 2023…
